EMBODIED THERAPY

The primary style of embodied mindfulness therapy I practice is Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, a method focused on client-directed exploration of the mind-body connection through somatic experience of sensation.
Understanding the personal relationship to these sensations (we often deem pleasurable or painful) reveals an inner terrain to navigate and use as a map to uncover mental relationships and patterns.
In a session, I guide you to connect and speak to your feelings- not naming them like anger, fear, joy - instead describing their characteristic and physical sensations - such as, tingling, heat, expansion, pressure. Through understanding how to connect to these sensations without judgement, the physical body becomes a body of wisdom able to be sourced in life.
My goal is to inspire curiosity and help you build your inner relationship as a resource to connect to your unique values, needs, and desires.
